What is Live Resin?

Live resin is a pliable, incredibly potent form of cannabis with a lovely amber color and sugary texture. Unlike most concentrates, live resin begins with fresh frozen material that is harvested at peak ripeness, sealed, and immediately flash frozen. This is done to eliminate any possible terpene deprivation. This concentrate mimics the aroma of ready-to-harvest cannabis flower giving it a mouthwatering flavor profile. 

HOW IS LIVE RESIN MADE?

Live Resin is produced when the whole plant is cryo-frozen immediately after harvest. This method retains the terpenes that are lost during the drying and curing process. Because the flavorful terpenes remain intact, live resin is considered a high-quality, connoisseur-level product.

Next, the live resin is extracted using a light hydrocarbon solvent which is then removed from the final product using closed-loop extraction. All hydrocarbon extractions are made using what’s known as a closed-loop system. This system is made of high-strength, pressure-rated stainless steel columns in which plant material can be loaded, and the oils from the plant can be extracted with your solvent of choice. Typically liquid butane and/or propane are the preferred solvents for flammable liquid gases in a sealed system, this operation can be performed in an explosion-proof (C1D1) environment. Many different style extractions may be performed in a closed-loop system, it’s in the finishing techniques of the extraction technician where we can achieve different final consistencies. 

WHAT FORMS DOES LIVE RESIN COME IN?

Live Batter: This concentrate starts from high-quality fresh frozen material harvested at peak ripeness and frozen immediately. This is done to avoid any terpene deprivation. After this concentrate is extracted using light hydrocarbons it is aggregated to create the batter-like consistency. This leaves the consumer with a high-quality mouthwatering concentrate.

Optimal dabbing temperature: 490 – 530°F

Live Resin Diamonds: Also known as terp diamonds are isolated THC crystals, like the ones you may find in sauce live resin. Diamonds are very high in terpene and THC content.

Live Sugar: A form of live resin with the appearance of course sugar granules in globs of honey. Sugar products are known for a potent smell and flavor and are said to have a nearly identical scent to their original plant.

HOW IS LIVE ROSIN MADE?

Live rosin is the result of pressing our highest quality of bubble hash with low heat and pressure. By using this method, we are able to instantaneously extract a potent resinous sap from the hash. This thick, gooey, oil extrudes from the plant matter without requiring any additional cleaning or removal of chemicals. The final product is even more flavorful and pure than regular rosin because it captures the live terpene profile of the cannabis plant 

When live rosin is skillfully crafted from proper material it creates an output product that rivals even the best solvent-based cannabis extracts. The final consistency will be determined by how the rosin is finished. There are several variables that can be manipulated after the rosin is pressed to create the ideal consistency of your choice. For example, a “cold cure” finish creates a “badder” style consistency.
